We have just taken part in Channel 4's oldest programme - COUNTDOWN - where we helped them celebrate the Show's 25th Birthday by showering Des O'Connor, Carol Vorderman, contestants and the studio audience with hundreds of lilac and purple baby balloons from three Exploding Balloons rigged high up above the set.

Earlier in the year we took part in the ITV primetime comedy drama - Booze Cruise III when our balloons were launched into the air above Ilkley Moor, carrying with them an urn containing the ashes of actor Brian Murphy's mother-in-law. The ashes were then scattered with a blast from a shotgun. For the sequence which showed the urn lifted by 50 - 16" balloons, Gasbags Balloons + Parties were called on to provide in excess of 500 helium filled printed balloons for rehearsals and the actual shoot. This entailed staff making very early starts in order to supply ready inflated balloons for a series of 7am starts!! Earlier in the programme we provided balloon decor and shimmer curtain for an Engagement Party scene recorded in a country house hotel.

The company has recently had further TV airings in Booze Cruise II and in the hit series, Fat Friends.
